GNC LiveWell, the world’s largest specialty retailer of nutritional supplements, has launched the first individual GNC franchise in Australia. GNC Rockdale Plaza in Sydney's inner-south, is the first individual GNC store franchise to be granted outside of America.
General Manager of GNC Australia, Jim Mills, said the sale of the Rockdale franchise to brothers Michael and Christian Baker of Sydney marks an exciting new phase in the growth of the GNC brand in Australia.
Ownership of the Rockdale store will officially be handed over on Wednesday 15th September.
“We are very excited to welcome Michael and Christian as Australia’s first franchisees, as I know they share our passion for health, fitness and wellbeing.”
“Rockdale is a booming area that’s handy to the city, Botany Bay and the airport, so it is attracting a lot of young affluent people who also tend to be very health conscious,” Mr Mills said.
There are over 6000 GNC stores in 47 countries around the world. The company opened its first store in Australia in 2000 and has stores in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Canberra.
GNC LiveWell sells vitamins and minerals, natural remedies, weight management and sports performance supplements under the GNC brand, as well as other popular Australian and international brands.
