Libido & Testosterone Promoting Supplements
What are They?
This category of supplements utilizes herbs and certain minerals to promote a change in a man’s hormonal profile. The most commonly used herbs are Tribulus, Long Jack, Horny Goat Weed, Maca and Fenugreek as they have a history of traditional use as aphrodisiacs. The most important minerals from a male libido standpoint are Zinc and Magnesium. They are intimately involved in the manufacture of Testosterone and men are commonly deficient in these essential minerals.
What are they used for?
With an increase in daily stress, poor dietary habits and inadequate sleep, testosterone levels can plummet and so too can feelings of wellbeing. Erectile dysfunction and poor performance in the bedroom can sometimes be attributed to some of these lifestyle factors and the use of these herbs and minerals may provide natural support until balance is regained.
Athletes may also suppress testosterone production from hard and intensive training routines and so may use these products to increase testosterone levels, promote increased muscle mass and aid in the recovery process.
